Thought for the day
There is far too much emphasis placed on the precedence of love nowadays. “Love can conquer all” and all that… What about kindness, chivalry, honesty, compassion? You never hear those virtues extolled (and especially not in kids’/teenage movies. Just “love” ,or, in my opinion, a very narrow, limited version of it that refers to attraction and being starry-eyed and ‘in love’). Falling in love seems to justify a myriad of sins, such as betrayal and falsehood. Love is wonderful, yes, but becomes poisoned if not imbibed with the other virtues.
